Mario's Tennis is a Virtual Boy game, the first in the Mario Tennis series. It was later followed by Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64. The characters in the game were all the characters that were also made playable in the SNES game, Super Mario Kart. This may have been intentional, however there is a chance this was just a coincidence.
