There have been plenty in Brawl, but that's 3rd tier importance there. (Sonic, Amy, Shadow, Mable and Sable Able in Smashville) So ex-nay on the inclusion of species seen in Brawl or just ex-nay b/c there's an enemy called Hedgehog from the Mario universe? I mean, the whole, "second closest race to the Gods" thing with the Hylians is something that you only see in the Legend of Zelda rather than in Smash. The species that Ooccoo is a part of are the closest race to the Gods (!!), and the Hylians are a creation of theirs... or at least some mythology claims.
