Yay! I was so worried that you'd left the Wiki scene! Maybe I can bring you up to speed... when did you first leave? It's felt like forever! Yeah, I'm sorry about the Wiki being so hard to access... it seems to know what you feel is most important and then it makes sure that you won't be able to access that page! ;) Heh, heh... you, sir, are welcome to make much, much more "n00by" comments if you come telling me that I should be a 'crat! You two are way too nice! Plus, if it's n00by to say hello after a hiatus, you can call me n00000000b! Let's see... what's been going down lately... well, with what I've been involved with we (1) are working on merging the SSB special moves with the character articles. It was a landslide vote, which some people (I wish I could remember who... some sysop(s)) are attributing to the Brawl mania subsiding. That was so fun back in the day, racing you to see who could update the Wiki with the SSB Dojo content first... but you won so many of those races it wasn't even funny! Anyway, I hope you're cool with that change. It's started a bunch of other merge things on the proposals page, so it seems like the whole "Merge because it's SSB" argument got mistaken as "Merge because it's from a non-Mario series" or "Merge because it's a very minor topic" (2) MarioWiki:Canonicity got updated after a long, extensive discussion between sysops, then put to a vote on the proposals page. I'm sure you can guess who was one of the biggest driving forces... (3) Now that Canonicity has passed, people are talking about how our article structure is very conjectural... y'know, assuming that MarioWiki:Chronology is right, placing the spin-offs and alternate media in a separate section because the old MarioWiki:Canonicity asked for it to be so... So, basically, part of that canonicity discussion came to what to do about our articles, and so now I've found myself also trying to make that happen... :P Basically, we're thinking about sorting articles by media and series, and also including a real world history section. I'd love your input on that, by the way. Check out the main talk page, I think that section hasn't been archived yet. Yeah, so that was a really long comment but I appreciate your involvement in Wiki current events, so yeah... that's my goal in writing all of that. ;) Stumpers! 22:34, 22 October 2008 (EDT) Aw, too bad you're not coming completely back... wish you could. Yeah, you're absolutely right about the alternate media stuff: it take speculation to list them together. But, to a certain, lesser extent that's true with the video games, too, so I think this is a nice solution for everyone. It's kind of like, "Either we allow that kind of speculation everywhere or nowhere at all." So, we picked nowhere! Yes! It's going to be nice to just list information from each source, and being able to put your blinders on and solely focus on that once source/series rather than the overall, nonexistent storyline. ;) But, hey! May I get cheesily metaphorical? My status on the MarioWiki is like the leaf on a maple tree. As time passes, it changes from bud (my n00b phase... you remember) to green leaf (my rewrites) and then to a nice fall red (that is, if what you're saying is true and I look like 'crat material! Ha, ha... I still don't believe you but I accept the complement!). But, watching that leaf you know it's gonna turn brown (editing will decrease) and fall off (eventually I'll quit... gotta, that's life).
