Template:Minigame-infobox Paddle Battle is a 1-vs-3 Coin-collecting minigame in Mario Party.
Like Cast Aways, Tug o' War, and Pedal Power, this minigame was infamous for causing hand injuries to players who were required to rotate the Control Stick to paddle up until Nintendo reached a deal to provide padded gloves to players.
Gameplay
Paddling on a river, the single player must direct the inflatable boat towards the shore on the team players' side, where Spear Guys will stab them and give the single player their Coins, while the team of three must direct the boat towards the shore on the single player's side to get their Coins. Aside from the threat of Spear Guys, players must avoid the rocks that jut outward from and populate the river. Players with the most Coins at the river's end win. If both sides did not win or lose any Coins, they will do losing poses; however, victory music will play.
