Template:Item-infobox The Gold Card is one of the various cards that Mario receives from doing Frankie's trouble at the Trouble Center in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. After obtaining it, he can play the "Tube Mode" mini-game at Pianta Parlor as well as to be able to trade several items there.

The item reappears in Super Paper Mario under the name Golden Card. Its purpose is to access the secret mini-game called Hammer Whacker at the arcade. The Golden Card is found in a hidden room in The Overthere bar in Flopside. Mario can access this room by flipping into 3-D and walking past the wall that is by Carson. Mario and friends can then find the Golden Card (as well as a Cooking Disk) in a treasure chest. Once Mario and co. consult The InterChet with their Golden Card, The InterChet says that the current player is a welcome gamer and makes Hammer Whacker available to them.
