Disambiguation page

As I said when reverting your edit on the Cloud disambiguation page, these pages are for linking articles with similar names. In this case, any article called "Cloud" or have "Cloud" in the name would be linked there. Any type of cloud not referred to as such like Fwoosh should not be linked there. The categories are what handles that. Mario jumping Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 16:30, July 19, 2021 (EDT)

Uploads

Hello, SnailiSkeeter. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

  • {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, SnailiSkeeter. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Please follow these reminders when you upload next time. The summary shouldn't be left unfilled.

Also, please don't make too many consecutive edits to a single page trying to fix your edit, otherwise this floods the recent changes and article's history page with edits. You were on mobile mode, so you had a chance to look at the page and see what your edit looked like before publishing it, and if there was a mistake, you could have gone back and fixed it instead of submitting the change. If you're on desktop mode, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save changes" button. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:05, July 20, 2021 (EDT)

a question

i uploaded a personal image for my user page. what category is it? (sorry if i'm quite noob and i write bad) User:SnailiSkeeter

I put a personal image tag on it since that's something that needs to be on there. Was the image made by you or did you find it somewhere else? If the former, I don't think it will need a license template. I'm not too sure what to do if it is the latter however.
