Template:Levelbox World 8-Airship is the final Airship level and penultimate stage of New Super Mario Bros Wii. Here, Bowser Jr. is fought once again, this time with Bowser's Koopa Clown Car. World 8-Airship is unlocked by clearing either World 8-6 or World 8-7, and its own completion unlocks the final stage of the game, World 8-Bowser's Castle.

Giant cannonball

The level begins near some crates, as well as a screw that moves a platform blocking the path when the player spins on it. Two Mechakoopas also come from a platform above. A section of Cannons firing Cannonball follows. More crates, as well as a Cannons that fires Giant Cannonballs, are followed by a few more Cannons. More crates and Mechakoopas are found, along with three Cannons firing Giant Cannonballs. A lift controlled by a screw is found, along with a Cannon firing Giant Cannonballs. After that, there is a Warp Pipe along with three Cannons rotating on a cog, leading the player to the next area. A screw is used to lower hanging platforms, followed by another screw that controls metal platforms. A Warp Pipe leads the player to the next section of the level.

A screw that controls coins is found, along with a Mechakoopa. A Red Ring is found, along with another screw that controls a metal platform. A lift controlled by a screw is found, with a metal block also controlled by a screw in the way. The midway point then follows. Another lift controlled by a screw is found, leading to a platform with a Mechakoopa on it. A screw controls a large section of metal platforms, with some crates, a Mechakoopa, and the Warp Pipe leading to Bowser Jr. found at the end.

In the end, there is the last battle against Bowser Jr., whose defeat provides access to World 8-Bowser's Castle, the site of the final showdown against Bowser. During the fight, Bowser Jr. prepares to fight with his broken Junior Clown Car, but uses Bowser's Koopa Clown Car instead. He attacks Mario with fireballs and spiked bombs, which can be used to defeat him by Ground Pounding the ground. After the second hit, the Koopa Clown Car begins releasing larger bombs.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is floating high up in the air in the area with several cannons. To obtain it, Mario and co. can either fly up to it using a Propeller Suit or jump up to it using the cannonballs.
  • Star Coin 2: Just after the midway point are two platforms with two Mechakoopas and the second Star Coin trapped inside. Mario and co. must jump at the right time to get it without touching a Mechakoopa.
  • Star Coin 3: A Propeller Suit is required for this one. Soon after the second Star Coin, there is a lone screw. Mario and co. must spin on it to make the third Star Coin emerge from under the nearby platform, jump to it, and activate the Propeller Suit to fly to safety before falling.
