Thwimps are tiny Thwomps that hop back and forth in large arcs in Super Mario World. Just like Thwomps, they cannot be destroyed, so the player has to avoid them. They usually appear in groups of two and cause obstacles in small hallways. Thwimps also made a few other appearances in later games, such as Mario vs. Donkey Kong. They were also briefly seen in a Super Mario Galaxy trailer, proving their first 3-D platformer appearance.
