Captain Lou Albano, performing Do the Mario during the end credits of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!

Do the Mario is the ending theme to the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! (and for that matter, The Legend of Zelda animated series), in which Mario (portrayed by Lou Albano) performs the Mario dance and sings a song to the tune of the Super Mario Bros. main theme, explaining how to do the aforementioned dance. This plays during the credits to every episode.

Lyrics

Do the Mario!

Eh step right up
Come on you know
Time to do mechrio time
Come inside
To mechrio park
Do the Mechrio
Time
Do do do dodododo dodo boop
Come on Down
To mechrio
Go on inside we’ve got the Death Star
Come to see the toads

Doot.

Trivia

  • The phrase "Do the Mario!" was also said at the end of most live action segments, by the Mario Bros. and sometimes the celebrity guest star.
  • The The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Do the Koopa" references to Do the Mario in both its title and similar-sounding cover song.
  • The German dub is the only dub to re-dub the song for the closing credits.
  • The French dub uses part of the Plumber Rap instead.
