"You"s
Please refrain from using the word "you" next time. When editing in mainspace, we always write in third-person; that is, we use "player", or the character's name, instead. Thanks and keep contributing. Mario JC 02:51, 20 August 2016 (EDT)
- Just another thing: Every time we write a game title, we always use italics. This is done by adding two apostrophes before and after the name (More info here). Mario JC 23:17, 20 August 2016 (EDT)
Lina
I noticed when adding the Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic storyline section, you wrote Lina as Imajin's girlfriend. Where did you find this out? At a glance, the manual doesn't seem to indicate one way or another as far as I can tell, but every online source I've found indicates the playable characters are a nuclear family, rather making Imajin and Lina siblings. If this is true, it's pretty obscure info! LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:55, 2 October 2016 (EDT)
- I found it in a Youtube video posted in July. Their true relation lies not in the manual nor any advertising for the game, but rather a very rare book that documented Yume Kojo '87 itself. File Reminders
Hello, Mariomaster86. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, Mariomaster86. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
File:MBSlvl4.gif was missing Category:Mario Bros. Special Images and the aboutfile wasn't filled out. You can remove it if you don't want to fill it out. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 21:12, 24 February 2017 (EST)
Mario Bros. Special
Do you have a sources that the game runs on Sharp MZ-1500, Sharp MZ-2000, Sharp MZ-2200, SMC-777, and Hitachi S1? If not, please do not add it back to the article.--TheFlameChomp (talk) 11:05, 26 February 2017 (EST)
- Apologies, I've added sources for the MZ computers. I wish I could add better proof for the others, but there's pretty much no information on these. I even saw a sight claiming that the version for the SMC-777 never made it past the prototype stage. The Hitachi S1 is an extreme rarity in itself, and I only saw a version for it mentioned once - a site selling games for all these various Japanese computers seemed to claim that such a thing existed. – Mariomaster86 (talk) 3:50, 26 February 2017 (EST)
- Sorry we were giving you a hard time, but you got to remember: Any new information needs to be sourced, otherwise it will be credited as a rumor or speculation, and we can't have that. 15:53, 26 February 2017 (EST)
- Turns out, a version for the Hitachi S1 does exist, as well as a PC-9801 version which I heard about a long time ago but forgot about. Both have been added. It also turns out Punch Ball was released on another computer as well, which I also once heard to have Special. I'll look into it. Sources say that a version for the SMC-777 does exist, but I have yet to find any images or footage. – Mariomaster86 (talk) 7:35, 26 February 2017 (EST)

Warning
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (adding false information or information without a source) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You kept adding information about other systems the game could have been released on, but without a source, it should not be on the wiki. Your edit kept getting undone countless times, but this is the final straw. If this happens again, you could get a last warning or even blocked! – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 11:06, 26 February 2017 (EST)
File info
When linking to an external image (i.e. one not on the wiki), you should include the link in one bracket on both sides. So http://nintendoera.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/IMG_5208.jpg should be , otherwise the entire image would show which may cause some loading issues.
And when categorizing images, you should use standard brackets instead of...whatever the curved ones are called. "{}" transcludes information, which isn't what you want. Instead, categorizing should look like . Good job finding those rare images, though! 15:31, 22 June 2017 (EDT)
RE:Sourcing information
To source information, you would put your source between two reference next to what it is you're sourcing tags like so:

The reference will then appear at the bottom of the page in the references section, if one exists. If not, you would place this on the bottom:
==References== <references />
Any references added to the page will be automatically grouped in the references section.[1]
