Hit the M Blocks! is level 1-2 in the game Yoshi's Island DS. A Yellow Yoshi plays this level.
Using Baby Mario, the level starts with a whole bunch of M Blocks. One M Block contains the game's first Sunflower, which grows to such a height that you can hop up its leaves and onto a platform with a Flower and a Red Coin. Most of the level revolves around hitting and climbing these blocks. After three Crazee Dayzees, and a Hint Block saying you can throw eggs at coins and flowers to collect them, the player goes down a Warp Pipe to an underground cave to continue the level.
The underground cave houses a lot of Lantern Ghosts and Nipper Plants, as well as Mushroom Platforms and secret high-up coin areas. The game's first minigame hut is in here, a hut leading to the Flutter Challenge minigame. Shortly afterwards, a bouncy arrow leads you back onto land.
Back on dry land, another Sunflower can be activated by hitting the closest M Block. hopping up it and hitting a high up ?-cloud creates a staircase leading to a Warp Pipe. Through the pipe is a cloudy area with a ?-switch, activating Shadow Coins. The player can dash along the coin track, leaping over rising rocks, and grab a Flower at the end.
It's not compulsory to head up the pipe, though, and if a player skips it and runs past (or goes back down the pipe and continues), there is a further section before the end of the level. This section introduces Spring Plants, and there's also a humongous wheel of spinning platforms with several Red Coins on the track. Immediately after the wheel is the Spinning Goal Ring.
