An End of Level Target[1] is an item found in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They are found at the end of the level, hence the name, and can sometimes give the Kongs extra bonuses. It is basically a strength tester game, and if the Kongs land hard enough onto the target, the attached lever will make a barrel rise up to the top of the pole, giving them a special item. These items include: an Extra Life Balloon, the letter G, a Banana Coin, a Banana Bunch, a Banana, or even a DK Coin.
When Diddy Kong collects the prize, he will start rapping with a stereo, whereas if Dixie Kong collects the prize, she will take out an electric guitar and play it.
In Donkey Kong Land 2, the pole and a barrel are not present, with only the target being featured; it works as a Spring to catapult the Kongs out of the level.
Trivia
- The hardest prize to get in the End of Level Target is the DK Coin, as it flashes by faster than other prizes.
