Spiders are a large, black arachnids with red legs in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. Its head has an uncanny resemblance to a Snifit's gas mask, although it does not demonstrate the ability to spit bullets.
In the spiders' sole appearance in the episode "Count Koopula", Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool, after jumping down a laundry chute and being deposited in Count Koopula's basement, find themselves menaced by them. Before the spiders can attack, Princess Toadstool manages to scare them away using a Magic Piranha Plant; one of its fireballs even partially cracks one's body as the group flees.
