::If we take "politician" at face value (as in, "someone professionally involved in politics, i.e. a government or a governing body"), most of [[:Category:Royalty]] would probably be included as well - but at the same time, all of the kings and princesses are already doing fine in that category. There's a lot of crossover between this category and Category:Mayors, as in only three articles (Mikhail S. Gorbachev, Helmut Kohl, and Mr. President) are excluded from the mayor category. It's not like those three would be completely orphaned if this category is removed; would it be all that harmful to ditch the politicians and just roll with the mayors? Hello, I'm Time Turner.
