Rainbow Dream, in Mario Party 5 is a board map from the Dream Depot. It was created from dreams of rainbows. Suspended above the clouds with a backdrop of a pink, starry sky, the dream is based on the four main types of weather: cloudy, rainy, sunny, and snowy. Rainbow Dream comprises five independently floating clouds, one for each type of weather and one that serves as the start space. The main way of getting around the board was by getting to the "rainbow spaces." Whenever players got to one of them, Klevar asked them if they wanted to cross the rainbow bridge for 5 coins. If paid, a rainbow appeared for them to go to the next area. Additionally, there is a gondola that can be used if a player lands on one of four ? Spaces located near it. There were four other ? Spaces-one on each cloud (not counting the ones that activated the gondala). The one on the cloudy area gave players a chance to get some Capsules by tapping the button to run faster on the battery wheel. Landing on the ? Space in the rainy area sent the player (and the players on the two spaces next to it) on a current that took them back to start. The ? Space on the sunny area made three rainbows appear. The player chose one, then sild down to the area the rainbow led, collecting coins along the way. Finally, the ? Space at the snowy area gave players a chance to win coins by ground pounding the see-saw a snowman was on to lift it as high they could. The snowman then came back down, sending the player upwards where the coins were. The harder the ground pound, the higher the jump, the more coins they won. The ? Space near the generator gives the player capsules, most of which can turn the game around.
Story Mode
In Story Mode, Bowser and Koopa Kid attempted to take over Rainbow Dream. But when the player (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Princess Daisy, or Waluigi) came to stop them, Bowser made Koopa Kid do the fighting for him. Koopa Kid then split into three Koopa Kids: Red K. Kid, Green K. Kid, and Blue K. Kid. But the player defeated all three of them, and they turned back into the one Koopa Kid. He and Bowser escaped to cause trouble in another dream. This battle took place on the sunny part of the dream.

Trivia
- Each section of the board seems to feature a different species. An Amp in the south, a Cheep-Cheep in the west, a Mr. Blizzard in the east, and the Sun in the north.
- This board might be a dream of the past Mario Party board Mario's Rainbow Castle.
