Template:Minigame-infobox Beam Team is a 1-vs.-3 minigame from Mario Party 5. Its name is a pun on the term "dream team". The setting of the minigame is based on real-life Stonehenge.
Introduction
The lone player is first seen. The other three players in UFO appear and the first player that appears tries to capture the lone player, while the lone player escapes.
Gameplay
The three players in UFOs must move around and capture the solo player with their tractor beams. The solo player had to avoid them until the thirty seconds are up. The players controlling the UFOs had to avoid knocking into each other or they would stop moving for a moment. If the runner manages to avoid being captured until time runs out, he or she wins. If the players in UFOs manage to capture the solo player, they win.
Controls
Solo (1 player)
- – Move
Group (3 players)
- – Move
- – Shoot Tractor Beam
In-game text
- Rules – "Three players each ride in a UFO and fire tractor beams at the fourth player, who's trying to escape capture."
- Advice – "If two UFOs collide, they'll stop moving for a few moments, so be careful."
Ending
If the team wins, the player who caught the UFO goes to the center of the trio and the team cheers. If the lone player wins, the three players' UFOs collapse while the lone player celebrates.
