Although Mario Kart: Double Dash!! has proven that Birdos can spit pink Yoshi Eggs, most Birdo Eggs are non-spotted. A Birdo will spit Birdo Eggs out of its cannon-like snout, and use the eggs like bullets. The player can Jump on these to get a free ride. These look just like plain white eggs.
In Mario Kart: Double Dash!! these eggs were provided as an alternate to Yoshi Eggs. Like Yoshi Eggs their homing capabilities are amazing and release three random items, which could be a Bob-omb, Star, Mushroom, Koopa Shell, Fake Item Box, or Banana.
