Yeah. 64 bits for sure. Have any of you seen the first cutscene in super Mario 3D world? The Wii must've been 32 bit or lower. | |||

Wii's successor?
Ok, I'm not pretty sure if I understood very well in the videos, but the Wii U works with the wii, so it can't work alone actually. The infobox then says it will be the sucessor of the Wii, but it shouldn't if this works with the wii on - and the succesor's info should be deleted, unless they did have announced a definitive sucessor for the wii (and if possible, the Wii U as well)

Stub
How is this a stub? Stubs are not short articles, they are articles with missing info. This article has all of the available info. DKPetey99TCE 14:09, 7 June 2011 (EDT)
- Just remove it if you see it
- It's a stub because not everyone knows about the Wii U completely.
Gamecube Compatability
It doesn't seem to have it. I'm going to miss it. Will everyone forget about the gamecube? Even the PS3 has PS1 compatability (I think).
- I don't see any holes.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cwjakesteel (talk). - The Wii U does not support the GameCube. --Mechawave 07:16, 8 June 2011 (EDT)
It is speculated that you may be able to download Gamecube games to the Wii U, however will the gamecube controllers be at least compatible?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gamerlad2 (talk).
The Wii U won't be compatible with Gamecube controllers because the buttons are on the contoller/console itself. Super Chris Helper
Will there be Super Mario Sunshine to download? And if you download it, is that in Nintendo Points then? Or is that in a valuta like the 3DS? --Armin00 16:26, 19 July 2012 (EDT)
Discs
Will the normal Wii discs work? This was kind of a stupid question to ask but does it work on this?YoshiGo99
- I do not know ^^; Birdobeauties
- The Wii U supports everything about the Wii, including the discs. --Mechawave 07:17, 8 June 2011 (EDT)
Chase Mii
[1] 56th minute:
Toads? For the Wii U? SWFlash
Actually, their miis in toad costumes yoshiyoshiyoshi (talk)
I've found a video that shows the gameplay of the Chase Mii game. Can we create an article for it? SWFlash
- @SWflash: Not really. If is not a Mario game, we cannot create an article for this.
- There is also some sort of... Mario costume. We should make an article indeed, or add something at the references. --Mario Fan 123 - Mario's craazy fan! 11:11, 22 June 2011 (EDT)
Buttons
Where on the Controller is the C Button located? All Nintendo controllers will have a C Button you know. Also, This could get released late this year in Japan and New super Mario bros. Mii Could be a launch game. --Super Mario 510 21:24, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
- The only controller that have C buttons is N64 controller. Where do you see C buttons on GCN controller? It has C Stick instead. Where do you see C buttons/sticks on Wii controllers? It doesn't have them. Also, why R Stick won't be a C Stick for you? SWFlash
Having read the entire paragraph on the new controller's layout, I must ask... Is it necessary to describe the thing in such detail when there are pictures readily available on the page? Twentydragon 01:35, 27 August 2011 (EDT)
Launch Game
Mario games have not appeared at launch for years. Time we had one for this console since New Super Mario Bros. Mii could be for Wii U Ware. It could get released in japan earlier late 2011. All home consoles get their first releases in late years. --Ultra Fan 390 22:00, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think that this is something fitting for the talk page. Why Bother (talk)
Microphone
Is there any word on the microphone yet? Any games that mention its use? Why Bother (talk)
- I know you probably wrote this ages ago, but a microphone will be present. No developers has mentioned its use explicitly in their products, but there is a good chance that all games will utilize it somehow. NSMBU will most probably use it seeing as NSMBW did, but nothing is confirmed. JackpotJordan 02:50, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
Main Mario game in the works?
According to this IGN artcile, a new Main Mario game is in the works, yet how it will work is not mentioned, should we do something about this?
--Byllant 23:09, 8 November 2011 (EST)
- No. No information is offered about the game, only that one is planned. Mario4Ever (talk)
- No? and what about this line "[Yoshiaki Koizumi] confirmed that the next big Mario game is already in the works.", this is not so different to the Super Smash Bros. game, whose development has not begun yet, it is exactly the same case. --Byllant 15:01, 12 November 2011 (EST)
- It's not the same case. At least with SSB, we have a tentative title. With this, we have nothing (at best, we could say "an unnamed Mario game," but that's not the slightest bit useful). Mario4Ever (talk)
- Actually, there's no tentative name with both games, Nintendo just said "...to made Smash Bros. for both, N3DS and Wii U", where's the tentative title? it's the same to say Super Smash Bros. and Unnamed Mario title than Untitle super smash Bros. sequel (as that's the title for Wikipedia) and Mario (Wii U), but I crearly understande the idea, I want this to finish, so we've better wait for a more official announcement. --Byllant 15:35, 12 November 2011 (EST)

SSB. Universe
On some websites it was rumored that the next SSB will be called Super Smash Bros. Universe. I think its worth mentioning although its already been deleted when I added it. Does anyone agree this should be placed in the article. Here's one website with the rumour.[2]
- JORDANDEBONO 04:30, 24 December 2011 (EST)
Yes I think we should. Does my opinion count.
- The Bagaloo 10:10, 25 December 2011 (EST)
- Just seen SmashWiki and they said it's fake ---> Super Smash Bros. 4
Release Date Found
I've been searching the internet and I found out that the Wii U will be released soemwhere around June and December this year. Super Chris Helper
The Wii U has Release Date in America
I found in a page of a game shop in Mexico, the relaese date for the Wii U in America= December 25, 2012. That's fantastic! And you can apart it now! I gonna apart it now :)
- SuperMario_3DLand| 20:35, 2 April 2012 (EST)
- I think we should wait until Nintendo confirms this. Akfamilyhome 04:44, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
They have confirmed a release date, but the price of the system is not going to be revealed. Super Chris Helper
Should a page be made for Mario Wii U?
We have screenshots now, and that was good enough for Super Mario 3D Land. And the images should go somewhere at least. Mariofanatic64 (talk)
- And where are the screenshots? YoshiDaisySSBM (talk)
- We shouldn't create nothing unless an official name has been revealed. Said pictures can stay around the wiki for a while.
- What about the Paper Mario 3DS? Didn't they say that was a tentative title too? If there is a page on that, there should be for this, same with Super Mario 3D Land, before the whole title was released, there was an article on it entitled Super Mario 3DS, and again Mario Kart 7 was Mario Kart 3DS. Why should this one be any different? iruni181 (talk)
Nintendo Land
Should this wiki cover Nintendo Land? It covers Mario elements and it is yet to be mentioned in this article.
Virtual Console
[4] It says that all of your Wii's save data and shop downloads including VC games can be transfered to the Wii U. Does this mean that older VC games will be downloadable to the Wii U or you'd have to download them to the Wii then transfer them? SKmaric (talk)
- All that article is saying is that Nintendo is working on a way for people to transfer their existing save data and downloads to the Wii U from the Wii (e.g. everything they've already played/bought). It doesn't say anything about older VC games being downloadable directly from the Wii U. Mario4Ever (talk)
1 Octobor 2012 in Belgium
I was going to the store and asked, when will come the Wii U. He said it will come on 1 October 2012. This is the Wii U launch date for Belgium. I don't know if it's for whole Europe. If you want to see the source, you need to know dutch. The source[5]. --Armin00 11:46, 13 July 2012 (EDT)
Or use Google Translate/Google Chrome... ...and I believe it will official-officially be announced sometime in the next 15 days with the meeting being on Sept. 13. DaShroom (talk · edits) 19:33, 30 August 2012 (EDT)
- As Baja said, we should wait for an official release date. If they don't mention Belgium or something, then we can add this then. JackpotJordan 02:13, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
Miiverse
In the Miiverse section, it refers to the Miiverse being the main screen. Shouldn't this be moved higher up? DaShroom (talk · edits) 19:34, 30 August 2012 (EDT)
- Well since a more detailed description for Miiverse is written below, there's no need to move it higher however a mention of it should present. Feel free to add some info, but don't cut and paste from the original paragraph under the heading Software. JackpotJordan 02:53, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
Miiverse article
Once more detailed info about Miiverse is revealed should an article be made for it. It is quite an important thing so I personally think one should be made for it. JackpotJordan 09:06, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
Wii U price in dollar
Read this on gameinformer.com. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/09/06/rumor-wii-u-release-date-and-price-leaked-by-distributor.aspx
It also showed three separate SKUs for the Wii U, beginning at $249.99:
- WIIU SYSTEM - GM - 11/11/12 $249.99
- WIIU SYSTEM W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $299.99
- WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $349.99
There are probably more sorts, like the PS Vita Wifi and PS Vita Wifi 3G. Reply! Armin00
- Can't we just wait another 5 days for the conference to reveal official info from Nintendo. It's not a long time. JackpotJordan 19:34, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
Wii U picture
The current blue picture, while most probably the most up to date one, doesn't look all that nice. Why don't we use the previous white one? Or at least a picture of the Wii U in its box. That would look much better. JackpotJordan 05:12, 30 September 2012 (EDT)
About the Wii U Gamepad...
Will the actual gamepad have a cord like the ones shown at the Nintendo Conference on September 30, 2012? Super Chris Helper
- No it won't; completely portable. The chord's to keep people from stealing it. JackpotJordan 15:08, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
Bits
How many bits does the Wii U have?
Hi! I'm Electrical Bowser jr.!
- Not much has been revealed about the Wii U's processor so it's unknown, though it's probably either 32-bits or 64-bits. Note that "Bits" as a measure of console power has been completely meaningless since the Dreamcast and that mainstream "256 bits" (as some might think exist based on the 8/16/32/128 bits leaps) CPUs-and thus consoles- don't exist. --Glowsquid (talk) 12:59, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
Actually, they kind of do. DK Fan
I think they're more than 64-bit. After all, did you see the graphics for New Super Mario Bros. U? They're 10 times better than Super Mario 64's or Mario Party's!
Hi! I'm Electrical Bowser jr.!
It is HD that is why. If it wasn't HD they would be like NSMBW models.YoshiGo99
Yeah. 64 bits for sure. Have any of you seen the first cutscene in super Mario 3D world? The Wii must've been 32 bit or lower.

The marketing slogan for the Wii U
Okay, this question just came to my mind when examining this article; if I'm not mistaken, the "How U Will Play Next" slogan is primarily targeted for the Nintendo of America regions, correct? Just wanted to check on this before I do any edit attempts (mainly to clarify where that slogan came from). (And yes, it's obvious that the primary coverage would be from the U.S. side of things, I do understand that as well). --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 20:17, 6 December 2012 (EST)^
