The game has not been released in North America, nor released on the Virtual Console on the Wii or Wii U in that region, most likely due to the poor reception of Mario's Picross on the Game Boy.
Gameplay
It is a Picross game in which the player plays with a chisel and rock hammer to uncover pictures. In order to unearth the correct picture, number clues are given to show how many squares go in each row or column.
There are two sets of puzzles, each divided into several levels. In Mario's set of puzzles, the player is given a time limit, and is penalized for making mistakes. In Wario's set of puzzles, there is no time limit, but the player isn't told when they make a mistake nor is given any hints, making the puzzles harder to solve.
