Mario, about to face the Fighting Polygon Team.

The Fighting Polygons (also called the Fighting Polygon Team) is a group of weak enemies found in Super Smash Bros. They possess very little attack and defense prowess, but their numbers can pose a threat (the player fights 30 of them in the penultimate stage of the 1P Game). They are replaced by the Fighting Wire Frames in Super Smash Bros. Melee and the Fighting Alloy Team in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Their bodies are all the characters' basic polygon structure, all colored purple. Some of their designs appear very strange or even edited. For example, Kirby's version makes him look like an accordion, and Yoshi's version has three teeth. Mario, Luigi and Ness' versions look very similar to each other, only being told apart by their moving pattern (Ness' version makes the same glittering noise of the real Ness when jumping) and the fact that Ness's nose is lower than Mario's.

The stage the player fights them on is the basis for Super Smash Bros. Melee's stage Battlefield (it is implied that it is the same stage). Three of them (randomly picked) appear before the actual fight in the Race to the Finish bonus level as obstacles on the top (fifth), middle (third) and bottom (first) floors.
