The '''''Mario Party''''' sub-series is massive, spanning across nine games, three systems, a card game, and showing no sign of stopping. The cast of characters, and character cameos, is gigantic, and the amount of mini-games throughout the series reaches into the 500's.
The '''''Mario Party''''' series is a virtual board game. In which the player may choose from a cast of Al-Star Mario characters, some of which have been [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Yoshi]], [[Koopa Kid]], [[Boo]], and many more. Each game features variations on the cast, and storyline. All the games share similiar game play. The series is intended for  four players, but computer controlled players may be selected as well. The primart objective of the game requires the player to move his character across the selected stage to gather a Star. He must then pay a fee of 20 coins to the Host, a non-playable character. After each player has completed his/her turn, a mini-game then begins, in which the player may be awarded coins, based on their performance.
 
At the end of the game, Stars and other feats performed by the player will be tallyed. The person with the most stars at the end of the game becomes the winner. If Starts are tied between players, other statistics will be applied. Such as amount of coins collected, mini-game victories, and so on.
 
The Mario Party Series amasses 9 games, across the Nintendo 64, The Gamecube, and the Wii consoles, as well as the Nintendo DS. The Series also sports a card game. The cast of characters, character camoeos, and mini-games are numerous. Thus far the series is very successful, and looks to continue it's success.
