- The Wii U (pictured) was launched in Europe and Australia on November 30th, and North America on November 18, 2012, along with other game launch titles; New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land.
- Super Mario Bros. 2 was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan on November 28, 2012.
- In honor of collecting 300 billion coins worldwide in New Super Mario Bros. 2, Nintendo released a free Coin Rush pack (available until January 31, 2013) called the Gold Classics Pack on November 27, 2012.
- Nintendo announced a version of the Wii, the Wii Mini, that will be released in Canada on December 7, 2012.
