Template:Minigame-infobox Breakneck Building is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 8. There are three ways the player must move the Wii Remote. First the player should use the Wii Remote as a saw. Then the player must use the remote as a hammer. And finally, the player needs to use the Wii Remote as a paintbrush (while pressing the A or B button to paint).
Introduction
The camera zooms across a small construction site, before finally coming to rest on the first player. The screen will split to show both players, and the minigame will begin.
Gameplay
First, players encounter a log. The camera zooms in on the log, and a saw appears. Players must then saw the log in half by using the Wii Remote as a saw. After the log has been sawed in half, players will jump over the log and cross a small bridge to move on to the next section. Players will now see a hammer and a table with two nails sticking out of it. The player must now use the Wii Remote as a hammer, and pound the two nails down into the table completely. Players will then cross another small bridge and advance to the final section, where they will encounter four planks of wood in a square formation on a stand. Players must grab a paintbrush and completely cover the wood with paint. Whoever is able to complete all three sections first is the winner.
Ending
The winning player will run along a small wooden walkway and stop in the middle of a circular section at the end, where they will do their victory pose with a log cabin behind them. The losing player is not shown.
