A normal, 2D Pichu.
Pichu is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee and possibly Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Pichu is the pre-evolved form of Pikachu.
Pichu is a less favorable character as it is the lightest and it is easily thrown off the board. Also, many of its attacks cause itself to take damage. However, it is usually good for fighting larger enemies. Also, though it is not a widely known fact, if you use Pichu's shield before the thunder hits you, you will gain life.
It is one of the Johto Pokémon first introduced in the games, Pokémon Gold and Silver. It is Number 172 in the National Pokédex.
Pichus have also made a few notable appearances, such as having shorts before one of the Pokémon movies begins.
