Template:Newsubject Template:Kart-infobox The Sponge (known as the Sponge Tires in North America) is a set of unlockable wheels in Mario Kart 7. It offers an acceleration boost, but it also hinders speed and weight. The Sponge offers the second lowest weight boost, losing only to the Roller tires.
