The Wilds is a Subspace Emissary stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The area is an expansive desert that is very rocky and has very little sand. The stage will often progress without the player's help. That coupling with boxes and walls can be catastrophic if they aren't careful. Near cliffs, there are also boulders making progress more difficult. Many Roaders live in the flat areas of the land, able to remain hidden until the stage reveals them.

At the beginning, Marth, Meta Knight, and Ike are atop a cliff watching a tank-like creature drive through the desert. Ike quickly jumps off the cliff to investigate the metal creature. Marth and Meta Knight glance at each other briefly, then Meta Knight follows after Ike. After a little pause, Marth soon follows. After venturing through the desert, the swordsmen finally arrive at where the strange tank-like creature stopped. It transforms to reveal Galleom, whom Marth, Ike, and Meta Knight fight. After being defeated by the trio, Galleom launches itself off the cliff and lands further away on a large stone pathway near some ruins. The force of his jump causes the ground underneath him to break and he falls down into The Ruined Hall.

After this, Mario, Pit, Kirby, Link, and Yoshi, still tracking down the Ancient Minister, venture through the desert. Nearing the edge, they once again attempt an attack on the minister, only to narrowly miss as before. As the Minister is about leave, a R.O.B. jumps to grab a hold of the Subspace Bomb that the minister holds, but slips off. It falls to its death but manages to free the Subspace bomb from the minister's grasp. Another two R.O.B.s come over and activate the bomb. Mario and Pit attempt to detatch the R.O.B.s from the bomb, but two more R.O.B.s shuttle Mario and Pit away. The bomb detonates, and does it was made to do. Mario flees on Yoshi, while Kirby, Pit, and Link escape on a Warp Star.
