Mario crossing the bridge of Tadpoles to get to Frogfucius' small island in the middle of Tadpole Pond.
Tadpoles are the younger forms of the frogs that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. For a while, Prince Mallow thought that he was a Tadpole, as he was raised as one by Frogfucius, and he grew up with other Tadpoles. However, Mallow turned out to be a cloud creature from Nimbus Land.
The Tadpoles were visited by Mario and Mallow at Tadpole Pond, where the hero met Frogfucius. The Tadpoles mainly serve as a bridge to allow Mario to cross over the pond. A pair of Tadpoles started shops in the western part of Tadpole Pond. One made a Frog Coin Emporium, while the other started a Juice Bar. Both sell rare and helpful items sold nowhere else in the game.
