Banshee Boardwalk (Hyuudoro Lake in the Japanese Version) is the 3rd track in the Special Cup of Mario Kart 64.  It resembles the Ghost Valley courses from Super Mario Kart.  The race begins on a boardwalk with some guardrails missing.  Because the setting was at night, it is easy to fall into the water below.  Additionally, a Cheep Cheep sometimes tries to Jump out of the water and swallow the racers whole.  The second half of the race features an abandoned shack where bats fly at the racers, lowering their speed. The bats don't appear in Time Trial mode.
