To coincide with the U.S. release of Mario Super Sluggers in August, an online card game was made on www.mariosupersluggerscards.com. The cards to collect for it are found on kid-friendly sites like http://www.4kidstv/ and http://www.nick.com/shows/specials/teenick/ and even http://www.youtube.com/ (mainly to promote the Mario Super Sluggers game itself). There is also a section that allows users to chat with others on the Tip & Talk section (using a forums layout).
Materials on the main site itself include cards of each character (not including characters' alternate colors), each captain's Star Swing and Star Pitch, each team, and the five default stadiums. The users can do many things with there cards like swapping and it was also discovered that the users can also clone cards by swapping with there self and accepting the swap. Although the main procedure is to obtain the starting cards via banners at kid-friendly sites, insiders have noticed that each card link had a five letter code and have decided to save them for future reference. As users obtained more character profile cards, they were also able to choose icons of available Mario Super Sluggers characters; possibly to represent their favorite Team Captain/Team Player. While on the site, Lakitu will give the users hints from time to time about their collections.
If the user has completed their Mario Super Sluggers card collection, they are able to receive a poster download featuring Mario and all the cards that the user has collected. Recently the Mario Super Sluggers card game ended but the collector can still look at all the cards they got and download each one or all. The user can also look still at the scoreboard to see what number they got only if they completed there collection.
Below is a list of the cards, categorized by their respective levels.
