::I assumed the Mario franchise item would beat out the landmark by default. I guess that isn't the case. So with the special items most of them already have a page that they go on. Bonus Game Houses are a subgroup of Toad Houses, ? Blocks have pages for their other appearances, as does cake. All the houses except for Toadette's have pages for the same reason, and Toadette's fits into Toad House. I think the "is tied to progression in Kingdom Builder" and "matches other special items" should work. I guess I'll make a draft in userspace. :::Making a draft for a potential Rainbow Bridge page sounds like a good idea; do that. I'd also recommend making a proposal about this, and link to said draft as well. Who knows, maybe there are more people out there that think an article for the Kingdom Builder item makes more sense for this page. I could even see myself supporting it too, depending on how well the draft is. {{User:Arend/sig}} 17:32, September 22, 2024 (EDT)

Super Mario Run item[edit]

Rainbow Bridge is the name of a major item in Super Mario Run. (See List of Kingdom Builder items in Super Mario Run.) I think this page should be converted into a page for that item instead of being a redirect to Tokyo Blur. (well, either that or generic subject rainbows.) Salmancer (talk) 13:26, September 21, 2024 (EDT)

I'm not sure how major the Mario Run Rainbow Bridge item is, given that it's only used in the optional Kingdom Builder mode, but the reason "Rainbow Bridge" redirects to Tokyo Blur is because Rainbow Bridge is an actual place/monument in Tokyo, and Tokyo Blur actually makes use of it, as that's where the starting grid and finish line take place. It's like how some other monuments of real life cities redirect to their respective city courses, like the Berlin Hauptbahnhof.
Therefore, while making a full page for the Mario Run item could maybe work (although a redirect to the Kingdom Builder items lift might be even better if it's too minor), making this a redirect or full page about generic rainbows would be a bad outcome, since, well, there's an actual thing named "Rainbow Bridge" and is not a generic rainbow. Making a draft for a potential Rainbow Bridge page sounds like a good idea; do that. I'd also recommend making a proposal about this, and link to said draft as well. Who knows, maybe there are more people out there that think an article for the Kingdom Builder item makes more sense for this page. I could even see myself supporting it too, depending on how well the draft is. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 17:32, September 22, 2024 (EDT)
