Senseless Census is a 4-Player minigame in Super Mario Party.

Introduction[edit]

Inside the train car, the camera pans from the right to the left, showing all of the Toads doing various activities. The screen then divides into four, and each player enters the train car via door. The door then closes, and the minigame starts.

Gameplay[edit]

Players are in a train car. They must walk around the train car and count the Toads aboard it. To make this challenging, the Toads move around a lot, with a few of them leaving their seats, and some items may look similar to the Toads. After 20 seconds have passed, the player closest to the correct number wins. The Toads may be red, blue, yellow, or green.

On Challenge Road, this is the fifth challenge of Chestnut Forest and the 15th challenge overall. In the normal challenge, the player must get first place, while in the Master Challenge, the player must get an exact count.

Ending[edit]

Winning players do their victory animations in the middle of the train car. The other players do not perform their losing animations; they talk with Toads excitedly instead.

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Move
  • Single Joy-Con Top Button – Increase the count
  • Single Joy-Con Bottom Button – Decrease the count

In-game text[edit]

  • Look through the train car and count the Toads you see!
