Competitor research!, originally known as Price Adjustment, is the third Trouble Center mission in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, initiated by Arfur. Ian Foomus has no hints available for it in the remake.

Mission

Mario and co. must travel to the entrance of the Trouble Center, where Arfur is waiting. They must tell him that, in Rogueport, the price of a Fire Flower is ten coins, the price of a Sleepy Sheep is eight coins, and the price of a Tasty Tonic is three coins. Arfur then rewards Mario with twenty coins, regardless if the prices told were correct or not.

In-game description

  • "This is Arfur. I want to open a new shop, but I need help setting my prices. But since I can't go into a competitor's shop, I need some research done. I need the price of Fire Flowers, Sleepy Sheep, and Tasty Tonics in Rogueport. I'll meet you in front of this building to make the exchange."
