Stella is the guardian of Sparkle Theater in Princess Peach: Showtime! She is a Sparkle sprite with a yellow, star-shaped head and a deep turquoise outfit consisting of a dress and a ribbon.
History
Princess Peach: Showtime!
After Grape and the Sour Bunch take over the theater, Stella requests Princess Peach's help to reclaim it. The bands of her ribbon can extend to help Peach interact with enemies and elements of scenery, and Stella herself can magically grant Peach new transformations. She wears a ribbon at all times.
Stella's color when flying around and when Sparkle is used corresponds to the ribbon she is wearing, which can be selected in the Wardrobe in the pause menu (while in the Sparkle Theater). Exceptions are during boss fights, where she will always be in her default light teal color, and during Peach's transitions from Sparkle to a transformation, where she is light blue with white gradients.
She is usually seen smiling, surprised, or frowning. Only sporadically does she take more assertive stances, such as refusing to let Peach leave BF if she hasn't finished The Dark Swordfighter & the Arena yet.
After It's Showtime, Grape!, Peach can choose to buy a large golden statue of Stella, more than twice the height of Peach, as a Sparkle Theater decoration, from the green-shirted Lobby Shop staffer. The statue will then be placed in the center of 1F.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
A Legend-class primary spirit of Peach and Stella together was added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during the "Showtime and Wonder Spirits!" spirit event that began on the same day as Princess Peach: Showtime!'s release. In their spirit battle, Stella is represented by a tiny, yellow Kirby, and the battle is set in Luigi's Mansion, which represents the Sparkle Theater. Throughout the battle, Assist Trophies representing three transformations from Showtime! appear: Lyn, representing Swordfighter Peach; Chef Kawasaki, representing Patissiere Peach; and Akira, representing Kung Fu Peach. This is the only spirit battle in the game where multiple different Assist Trophies appear.
Super Mario Run
A statue of Stella and Peach also appears in Super Mario Run's Kingdom Builder, which was made available during the Princess Peach: Showtime! event that began an hour after the start of the spirit event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (though it was added to the notebook silhouetted alongside the other event items as part of the game's version 3.2.0 update released a week prior on March 15, 2024). The statue is unlocked after completing all nine Princess Peach missions. Stella also appears as the missions icon during the event.
Tetris 99
Stella also appears in the banner and icon of the Princess Peach: Showtime! theme in Tetris 99, which was released during the 39th Maximus Cup.
