Captain Goomba is an oversized Goomba in Mario Party 8. He appears at the end of Goomba's Booty Boardwalk. Like his name says, he is a captain of a ship. He will give any character that comes to him in the game a star. He also has a few Pirate Goombas.
In Star Battle, he will still give the character a star, however only if the character brought fifty coins. In this mode getting a star is the key to winning the battle-however if the player shows up with less than 50 coins, Captain Goomba will send him or her back to the start.
