Wiggly Wiggler
Hello. Is Wiggly Wiggler (talk) an older account of yours? If so, it's been a while since you edited, so if you've forgotten your password or something, let me know. 19:49, April 4, 2019 (EDT)
We need you to answer this as soon as possible. You're not in trouble, we just need to know (it's an old account, so we can understand if you've lost access to it). Mario JC 08:45, April 5, 2019 (EDT)
- Yes, actually, that is my old account, though I've forgotten the password for it. Thanks for letting me know. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 08:49, April 5, 2019 (EDT)
I certainly will. Are there any articles that I could be working on? --WigglyWiggler (talk) 09:24, April 5, 2019 (EDT)
Sounds good. I'll just be working on some stubs then or some articles in need of expansion. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 15:55, April 5, 2019 (EDT)
Mario & Luigi series items
Please don't add that to pages, that is intended to be a container category for the item categories for specific games. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:29, May 9, 2019 (EDT)
Categories
Please read over MarioWiki:Categories, specifically the "Placement on articles" section. For series categories like "Mario & Luigi Series Items", you don't add them if there is already a more specific category for its appearance (e.g. Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Items), as this creates category redundancy. Only place them if no game-specific type category exists for it, but you'd add the overall game category as well (e.g. say Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Items doesn't exist; you would then add Category:Mario & Luigi Series Items and Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story). Make sure you remember to categorise the category as well. Mario JC 21:55, May 9, 2019 (EDT)
Conversely, if you're adding Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey Items to an article, you remove the other less specific ones ("Mario & Luigi Series Items" and "Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey"). You also forgot to categorise the category, as Alex95 has done for you. Please keep these in mind next time. Mario JC 02:46, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
- Okay, I think I get it now. You can add categories to a page, but only if there isn't a more specific category I can put them in; for example, "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Species" instead of just "Mario & Luigi Series Species". You also organize the categories by putting them in order of importance. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 12:55, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
What do you mean by "category deleted"? The category Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Items still exists. 16:46, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
- Sorry, I put the wrong thing. I meant to get rid of the link to that category and put it in the category Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Special Items along with Mushroom Tea and Scratch Card, as they are not really something you can collect or hold onto in your inventory. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 16:57, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
The type part ("Items", "Special Items" etc.) isn't taken into account when ordering categories of different games alphabetically. So "Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey Special Items" would go after "Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Special Items". Mario JC 21:25, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
Before creating categories, please keep the last bullet point under "Size and scope" in mind. There's no need to go out of your way to create categories for only a handful of subjects that would fit in them. Mario JC 02:39, June 10, 2019 (EDT)
M&LBIS+BJJ List of changes
I've already explained my reasoning here. What you're doing misorganises the information. If you notice your edits aren't there anymore, you should check the article's history page before simply making them again; repeatedly doing so without any reason for it is considered edit warring and will lead a warning. If you wish to split the "visual changes" or "audio changes" sections down, do it there; don't move the content to "gameplay changes". Otherwise please add your points without incorrectly changing the placement of the others. Mario JC 02:24, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
Categories for templates
Hi, just letting you know that even navigation templates such as the one you recently created need categories. When you make future navigation templates, you must add the following at the end: <noinclude></noinclude>
Thanks! (T|C) 13:07, May 20, 2019 (EDT)
- Ok, thank you. That is good to know. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 15:51, May 20, 2019 (EDT)
Paper Jam story
I understand you're working on rewriting Paper Jam's story, but you shouldn't outright replace an already complete with one that you haven't finished yet yourself. This results in loss of information, something you did twice on Stuffwell, so please be careful. Until it's done, keep it on a Word document or a personal sandbox (User:WigglyWiggler/sandbox). Here was the revision if you need to copy the text.
As an unrelated editing tip, piping links into plural forms like Pokeys
is unnecessary; you can simply place the "s" after the link Pokeys
, which is much faster and works the same way, unless it's something like Spinies
where the base word's spelling is different in plural. Mario JC 08:11, May 23, 2019 (EDT)

Yarrctopus
You edit sniped Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) by creating a page he was working on in his sandbox, which is against the courtesy policy. Thanks! TheDarkStar 15:18, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
- Also, if an article has no images, you can use image on an article to request an image be added. If the article already has one or more images, you can use more images. TheDarkStar 15:22, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
- Did he know it was in his sandbox? If they don't look alike, that's an unreasonable accusation. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:24, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
- Yeah that is not "edit sniping" by any definition. Anyways, the proper plurals for "octopus" are "octopuses" or "octopodes." "Octopi" is incorrect from any perspective. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:37, June 8, 2019 (EDT)

Oh, hello. My sandbox is very huge, so I'm likely to take a while on some articles when focusing on others in it. If you have something to add to something in it, you can let me know in my talk page I usually don't mind if an article I'm working on in there gets created; I'm most likely to have something to add to the article from my sandbox (for example, I just added a tiny infobox to the Yarrctopus article). Obsessive Mario Fan (talk) 16:09, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
Sandboxes
Great job on the projects in your sandbox! I would just like you to know that if an article is in my sandbox, that doesn't completely restrict you from working on it. "Edit sniping" would be copy/pasting my work and claiming it as yours. You can always ask me if you can start working on anything I've made no progress on. You can also create certain sections for the articles and suggest for me to merge it into my sandbox, or I can do the same for yours. --DeepFriedCabbage 11:26, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- Thank you! Working on some new scraps for Paper Mario: Sticker Star. I like your new signature. --WigglyWiggler (talk) 11:29, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Scrap articles
Might want to take a look at this. I don't think we're making articles for Scraps. 16:41, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- Also, you are not allowed to have notice templates (construction, more images, etc.) on your sandbox, so please remove them. 16:42, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Signature
Sorry, you're only allowed one GIF in your signature. Mario JC 22:36, June 23, 2019 (EDT)
Kersti in Rustle Burrow
I dug through Paper Mario: Sticker Star's code, and here's what Kersti says while stuck in the web in Rustle Burrow:
Wake up... Wake up NOW! Oh, come onnn... WAKE UP! I have HAD it! Why does stuff like this always happen to me?! Hey! Are you going to keep me waiting here forever? You listen to me! When Mario shows up, AND HE WILL, he's going to tear all of you guys to pieces! Mario, you're really taking your time! Where ARE you? What are you doing? Damsel in distress over here! Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?! Don't you think you've kept me waiting a little too long? You didn't go home, did you? Was it something I said? What am I going to do? Losing the Royal Stickers is all my fault. Aaaaaaaaah... I can't go back to the Sticker Star like this. Ooooooooh... Why me? Why this? Why now? Aaaah... Awwww... I want to cry... Wait, I am crying... Stupid crying... Sniffle... .........
I'm not 100% sure on the spacing, so you may need to double check. I also don't think the first "wake up" lines are from this sequence exactly, but I included them anyways. Scrooge200 (talk) 02:18, July 2, 2019 (EDT)
RE:SMM2 Levels
It's probably better if you either worked on a few articles yourself or uploaded a few images for them. The reason I say this is because it can quickly flood the recent changes page to collaboratively work on articles, and I myself would only recommend it if the article is very expansive, which level articles usually aren't. Crumples, Torque, and Dream Gem
Hi, are you still working on the Crumples, Torque, and Dream Gem articles? For a while, only the navigation templates have been there. --DeepFriedCabbage 22:35, July 24, 2019 (EDT)
Re: Status
I decided to remove my status box because I found it a bit overwhelming to update it every time my status changed. When I removed it, I still wasn't sure if I would simplify it to just a simple text box, or abandon it entirely. What I think I will do is use a specific navigation template if I know I will be inactive for a certain period of time. This would end up with my status' deletion, but if I end up wanting it back later, I can just re-add it. --DeepFriedCabbage 16:08, July 30, 2019 (EDT)
Friend request
Hello, since we've been contributing (and communicating) together frequently, here's my userbox code: --DeepFriedCabbage 20:00, August 6, 2019 (EDT)
YCW Boss Level Articles
Good job on Spike the Piranha (level). Do you think you could create the other boss level articles? I still plan to handle the main levels... --DeepFriedCabbage 17:47, September 17, 2019 (EDT)
IGN images
Hey, for taking images from IGN, please click them first to view them at full size and then save them. Thanks! Scrooge200 (talk) 18:53, October 4, 2019 (EDT)
Infoboxes
The title
parameter is unnecessary for infoboxes on pages without identifiers. The infobox automatically has the page's name as its title, so the title parameter should only be used if the page has an identifier. TheDarkStar 10:20, November 3, 2019 (EST)
G.H.O.S.T. Acronyms
There's another GHOST acronym that you missed; The bonus missions in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon:
Gradual Infiltration
Hostile Intrusion
Outlandish Interruption
Severe Infestation
Terrifying Invasion
...just thought I'd share... --DeepFriedCabbage 15:39, November 7, 2019 (EST)
The Great King Bowser (level)
I know you've mainly focused on Luigi's Mansion 3 content, but just in case you didn't know, there's one more YCW boss level you didn't make. --DeepFriedCabbage 16:23, November 19, 2019 (EST)
Super Mario Maker 2 official levels
Hi, thanks for your help in creating the Story Mode levels in Super Mario Maker 2. I have an additional question: do you know of any info on levels in Course World created by Nintendo staff members? I'm just wondering since those levels also fit snugly into the wiki's coverage policy, and I'm not finding much info with the material I have. With that in mind, do you have access to Super Mario Maker 2's Course World? If so, do you know where official levels can be accessed? (Hint: There should be a playable copy of the level shown in the 2019 Nintendo World Championships. Also, see here for insight on how official levels in the predecessor were grouped.) (T|C) 21:35, November 25, 2019 (EST)
- That's great! When you have time to get around to it, would you mind compiling a list in your sandbox of all of the official levels to place in this navbox once you're finished? (T|C) 22:49, November 25, 2019 (EST)
- Also, does the "More info" tab in a level select screen in Course World reveal the date in which a level was uploaded (with or without time zone dependencies)? Not that it would be necessarily vital information, just that some official levels in the predecessor were released for a period of more than a year after that game released. (T|C) 23:06, November 25, 2019 (EST)
- Yeah, that's something that happens in the predecessor as well. Just list each level in its original Japanese characters while piping each link to a romanization of said characters. And if you need any help in that stage, Mario jc (talk) is your go-to guy for that.
- Nonetheless, thanks for the work. (T|C) 19:47, November 28, 2019 (EST)

Japanese levels are up. The Japanese words preceding "Superball Mario" and "Builder Mario" are the Japanese names of the power-ups. Since the English names are simply there for the sake of transliteration (and they're both the same title, just in two different languages), "Superball Mario (level)" and "Builder Mario (level)" are fine as their titles. File names
Hello. When naming your files, please try to use the game's abbreviation in the file name. The reason we do this is because oftentimes, there may be similar objects or places amonsgt multiple games. As a hypothetical example, if we didn't name Goomba files apart by game, it'd be really hard to tell them apart. As a real example, Restaurant.jpg isn't that specific, as there have been multiple restaurants throughout the Mario franchise. LM3 Restaurant.jpg would lleviate this

RE:Checking in
You know, I've been meaning to ask... Wasn't there another Ninji Speedrun level released recently? Or am I confusing the release dates of Ninji Speedrun levels? Just curious. (T|C) 21:22, December 13, 2019 (EST)
SMM2
Looks like you'll have to create Everyone, Dodge! on your own since I don't have a Switch Online account and can't find any videos of the level online. (T|C) 11:01, December 18, 2019 (EST)
- If only NinThumbWorldArchive would upload playthroughs of the remaining Australian and European levels sometime soon... Ah well, in the meantime, here's a showcase for Rhythm of the Koopa Shell, and it seems Everyone, BREAK! is a different level entirely. (T|C) 12:41, December 24, 2019 (EST)
Re:DKC SNES KONG/Bonus Room Images
Yeah, I like reuploading images similarly to Wildgoosespeeder and Pasta. Please tag your images with image-quality until I get to them, though. Scrooge200 (talk) 22:01, December 23, 2019 (EST)
RE:Merry Christmas
Hope you had a merry Christmas as well. I'm planning on finishing up the articles on Super Mario Party River Survival routes for now. (T|C) 21:59, December 25, 2019 (EST)
