This is a list of profiles and statistics for Wario.

Nintendo character guide

Let's make this clear: Wario is not Mario's evil twin. Wario was once Mario's childhood friend. Many were the afternoons that they unplugged culverts together on the way home from school. But Wario became jealous of Mario, both for his skills on a plunger and his dashing good looks. Now that he has usurped Mario's castle, Wario feels he might get a little respect, and maybe an honorary degree in Plumbing Sciences.

The earthly strength is as good as Mario's
"In Mario Land 2, I beat Mario to a pulp, and in Mario & Wario, I annoyed him by putting a bucket on his head. In Wario Land, where I play the main role, I go on a rampage on Pirate Island. I'm also in Wario's Woods, where I'm as popular as Mario!"
There's even a game where I'm the star!
Wario failed to take over Mario Castle in Mario Land 2. Still unable to give up on the castle, he tried to build Wario Castle this time by stealing the pirate's treasure in Wario Land. In Wario Land, players must use three different transformations to defeat the bosses in each of the seven zones to earn money and 15 treasures. The castles built in Wario Land vary in price, so you can try to build various castles by frequenting Wario Land. There is also "Wario's Woods," a puzzle game in which Wario is the main character!

Snake's codec

  • Snake: This guy kind of gives me the creeps.
  • Colonel: That's Wario, Snake. Wario first appeared as Mario's rival, but he really made his name in the WarioWare games. Watch out for Wario's bite. It's not just damage you take from it.
  • Snake: What do you mean, Colonel?
  • Colonel: Wario loves garlic. He eats whole cloves of it day and night. So try not to get caught in his mouth. Once that smell gets on you, it'll stick to you for quite a while.
  • Snake: ...That's a scary thought.
  • Colonel: He also attacks by farting. He can fart to fly around, too.
  • Snake: By farting...? Are you kidding me?!
  • Colonel: Sadly, no. I am not kidding. If his belly starts to bulge, watch out.

A living embodiment of gross, this villain hates Mario and loves money. He claims to have known Mario since childhood, but who can tell if that's true? In Smash Bros., he's a seriously agile heavyweight fighter. He can store up his trademark Wario Waft for explosive results. Did I mention he's gross? If someone who hated Mario tried to draw an ugly version of him, it'd probably end up looking just like Wario. The greedy villain claims they used to be childhood friends, though... In this game, he's a heavy fighter with heavy-hitting attacks. The longer you go without using his Wario Waft move, the more explosive it'll be when you..."let it out".

Wario-Man N/A Wario-Man trophy from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U With just a little nibble of garlic, humble everyman Wario transforms into the hero of justice, Wario-Man! He's...still not really all that strong, but he does get quite a bit faster, and he can launch foes farther too. And like any good hero, he has the ability to fly...by spamming attacks in midair. Just like they all do it, right? Just a little nibble of garlic, and the humble Everyman Wario transforms into the hero of justice, Wario-Man! He's...still not really all that strong, but he does get quite a bit faster, and he can launch foes further too. And of course, like any good hero, he has the ability to fly...by spamming attacks in mid-air. That's how they all do it...right?
Wario + Bruiser
Wario + Growlster
BruiserTrophy3DS.png N/A N/A For most racers the finish line is the goal, but if you combine Wario with this bad boy, the game takes on a whole new meaning. And that meaning is to crash into everyone else. Behind the wheel of the Bruiser, Wario turns Mario Kart into a contact sport. Even in a race for first place, it's possible to sort of ignore the whole winning thing and just focus on bashing into the other racers instead. Wario's that kind of guy, so obviously he'd choose a frame like the Growlster and use it to ram other drivers off the road. It's like he thinks Mario Kart is a combat sport or something!

Palutena's Guidance

  • Pit: Um, Wario kind of smells.
  • Palutena: That's to be expected. For his Final Smash, he munches Nasty Garlic and transforms into his super-antihero alter ego... Wario-Man!
  • Pit: Uh... Wario-Man?
  • Palutena: Yes. Legend has it that Wario once caught a cold, accidentally ate a piece of Nasty Garlic, and turned into Wario-Man.
  • Pit: Huh. So Nasty Garlic is the key to Wario's power. Great.
  • Viridi: He's a real charmer, that one.
  • Palutena: Speaking of which... Eating seems to make Wario very gassy.
  • Pit: Ugh! TMI!
  • Palutena: I'm only telling you this for your own good. He's a ticking time bomb. Watch out for his sudden farts. And all farts in general. They're gross AND dangerous.
  • Pit: ...This job is really the worst sometimes.

(NOTE: While the conversation itself is largely same as the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U counterpart, the first "Nasty Garlic" is changed to simply "garlic", consistent with Wario-Man's aforementioned trophy descriptions.)

  • Pit: Um, Wario kind of smells.
  • Palutena: That's to be expected. For his Final Smash, he munches garlic and transforms into his super-antihero alter ego...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

Profile

"Wario considers himself Mario's adversary, and has been causing Mario a headache for quite some time. Selfish and greedy, Wario always ends up somehow doing good deeds to get what he wants. Wario is a veteran to the Olympic Games and comes to Vancouver and Whistler ready to compete for the gold. Be sure not to get in the way of his signature Wario Waft technique on the Wii, and Wario Waft Jump or Wario Waft Boost techniques on the DS!"

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

Flag Description (Wii U version)

Wario
Money, money, money! This scoundrel has taken on all sorts of jobs in his pursuit of cash, including treasure hunter, adventurer, and even president of a game company. His latest scheme involves dominating the Olympic Games with the power of garlic, thus allowing him to hog all the valuable gold medals for himself.

Miis' Dialogues (Wii U version)

  • Wario's a big greedy adventurer, right? Makes me wonder if he's thinking about treasure even while he's competing in the Games. I mean, I saw him leap into the sea a little while ago because he thought he saw gold. Turned out it was just an old shoe, which really steamed him good!
  • Wario has quite the resume, don't you think? He's a treasure hunter, an adventurer, and even the CEO of WarioWare, Inc. What a Renaissance man!
  • Wario sure does love money! I mean, sure, we all love money, or at least like it a lot. But he takes it to a whole new level! I hear he founded a company to help him make coin, but I think he's more into get-rich-quick schemes than good, honest work. Nothing's too sleazy for him!

  • "This rude and crude fellow likes to toot…his own horn. Wario is stubborn, sneaky, and every bit as crooked as his mustache—the complete opposite of his rival, Mario. But he’s got a head for business, and despite his greedy nature, he’s been known to lend the occasional helping hand."

amiibo

  • A living embodiment of gross, this villain hates Mario and loves money. He claims to have known Mario since childhood, but who can tell if that's true? Aside from adventuring, he's also the chairman of game maker WarioWare, Inc. He can also store up his trademark Wario Waft for explosive results in the Super Smash Bros. games. Did we mention he's gross?
