Pompon Flower: Difference between revisions

(Super Mario Bros. Daizukan. suggests that Pompon Flower might be a relative of Suichūka (Lava Lotus) and Ponkey (doesn't state which one), so I'm re-adding Lava Lotus and Volcano Plant to comparable in light of this.)
(Other "Strongly suggested relatives" (e.g.Ragumo & Tōsenbo) are listed as relatives in their infoboxes, so matching that. Also, it makes a lot more sense that this is referring to the original Ponkey, as Land was never released after World, so Volcano Lotus can just be related by extension via Lava Lotus. And not every "Flower" enemy has to be related to Piranha Plant (e.g.Eggo-Dil & Dizzy Dandy).)

Not to be confused with Pom Pom.

Template:Species-infobox Pompon Flowers,[1][2] also known as PomPom,[3] are flower enemies found in Super Mario Land. They walk around, shooting poisonous pollen upwards. Mario can defeat a Pompon Flower by jumping or shooting a Superball at one, obtaining 800 points. Pompon Flowers only appear in World 4-2 of the Chai Kingdom. Pompon Flowers look very similar to the Pansers from Super Mario Bros. 2 and to a lesser extent the Lava Lotuses from Super Mario Bros. 3, and may have been based on them.[4]
