A Deku Nut is an item from The Legend of Zelda series, that also appears as an item in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When thrown at an opponent and like in Ocarina of Time, this will stun the opponent. The effect is similar to a player breaking his or her shield. If the player tosses the Deku Nut and the explosion from it is very close to the player, the Deku Nut will also stun the user just like Bob-ombs.
