- This article is about the tadpoles from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. For the tadpoles from Wario Land 3, see Tadpole (enemy).
Tadpoles are younger forms of the frogs in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. For a while, Mallow thought that he was a tadpole, as he was raised as one by Frogfucius, and he grew up with other tadpoles. However, Mallow turned out to be a Nimbus from Nimbus Land.
The tadpoles were visited by Mario and Mallow at Tadpole Pond, where the hero met Frogfucius. The tadpoles mainly serve as a bridge to allow Mario to cross over the pond. A pair of tadpoles started shops in the western part of Tadpole Pond. One made the “Frog Coin” emporium, while the other started the Juice Bar. Both sell rare and helpful items sold nowhere else in the game.
Tadpoles are also used to play notes in the Melody Bay.
One tadpole near Melody Bay also states three songs in the game that he claims to be his favorite, which are actually the songs needed to be played at Melody Bay for Toadofsky.
