Souvenirs
Seeing as Twisted! and Gold have separate pages for their souvenirs, is anyone good with moving the souvenirs list here to its own page? Mario JC 20:32, 7 October 2018 (EDT)
- Fine with me. (T|C) 21:17, 7 October 2018 (EDT)
- Disagree, the souvenirs here aren't as expansive as they are in those two articles and they have no categories in the game as in the other two. Ray Trace(T|C) 21:32, 7 October 2018 (EDT)
Wario-Man
Wario's name is exactly the same as the Greek translation of the chemical element Barium that originated from the word βαρύς, meaning heavy, reflecting Wario's massive weight. Wario's superhero version as Wario-Man uses the same "W" symbol as Wonder Woman, who is Greek. In addition, the Wario Car resembles the Batmobile, a vehicle of Batman who is a major character in DC comics alongside Wonder Woman. Moreover, Wario-Man uses the same trademark purple and yellow colors of Wario's other appearances, which were also used during the peak of John Cena's career as a professional wrestler whose popularity among children led to his use of many different attires switching over a large variety of colors that were sold as merchandise.

- Wario's name is Mario's name with the first letter flipped upside-down. And the ancient etymology of that name is also irrelevant, since he was just named after a landlord. Yellows and purples were common "evil" colors going on the other side of red and blue (for heroes) for comic books, and I doubt were particularly intended to represent anything in Wario's case. And the Batmobile has looked like anything with wheels and an engine through history. Stop overthinking things. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:05, October 14, 2019 (EDT)
Am I overthinking things? Like I should be lobotomised? I know that Wario is an upside down version of Mario, just like Superman, a superhero like Wario-Man, has Bizarro as his exact opposite who's an anti-hero like Wario. But I'd like to know about that landlord you've mentioned as well as yellow and purple being evil colors. Yellow is Sinestro's colors that opposes green rather than Mario's red and blue colors which are indeed noble since they are commonly seen in many national flags as well as Optimus Prime and Spider-Man and purple is a color preferred by narcissists. Any insight on the matter please?

- Landlord. Lex Luthor, Green Goblin, and Joker all wore purple. Simple as that. As for the W....it's just a heckin' W. Please stop dragging this out. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:53, October 14, 2019 (EDT)
Sorry for dragging this out, but Mario was named after the landlord, not Wario. It's cool to name Mario's opposite by switching the first letter of his name, but it's also not necessary. So since Italian and Greek are very common languages due to their common origins from Ancient Rome, the evil counterpart of an Italian character could be given a Greek name that truly fits him. And about purple, those villains did not use purple as their color but it was complementary to another color, which I think is green for all three of them for some reason. So if green is combined with purple in villains, then replacing green with yellow negates the evilness in that color combo, but it's not surprising since Wario's an anti-hero and not a villain like Lex Luthor, Green Goblin and Joker since Mario already has one, and that is Bowser, who rightfully claimed the top spot in a list of the greatest all-time villains. But Doctor Doom, Hulk and Green Lantern are all green even if their alignments are very different.

- Wario was a straight-up villain when he was introduced. Much of what you're saying requires the people creating these things to be able to see into the future. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:08, October 14, 2019 (EDT)
I'm not claiming to be an expert on this, but ever heard of 9/11 terrorist attacks being foreshadowed in multiple films? And that's merely an example of things being predicted for whatever reason.

- In what universe does this approach anything remotely resembling 9/11 "truthing", and what bearing does that even have on the clear and evident lack of veracity this "trivia" of yours has? -- Lord G. matters. 17:20, October 14, 2019 (EDT)
Many people say that large media companies like Nintendo are owned by the Illuminati. But I appreciate their products as important pieces of art nevertheless.
