The Pokémon Trainer is a new character for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He is the main male character of the games in the Pokémon series that took place in the Kanto region. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he will stay in the background, and use three Pokémon, Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard to fight for him. His down special move, Pokémon Change, will switch out between these three Pokémon. The player chooses the Pokémon to start with[1], and they will then be changed in the order Squirtle → Ivysaur → Charizard → Squirtle. This is the first time this kind of fighting style has been used in the Super Smash Bros. series.
