When Luigi enters the Rec Room, Biff is focused on lifting a barbell, choosing not to attack him. If Luigi wishes to capture Biff, he must first hit one of the three nearby punching bags toward Biff, while avoiding its backswing, which can hurt him. Doing this provokes Biff, who starts attacking Luigi by swinging his hands in rage. One of Biff's punches causes Luigi to lose twenty HP. Each time Luigi hits Biff with a punching bag, he becomes angrier and attacks quicker. After Biff is hit with punching bags three times, he collapses onto the floor, exposing his heart. This makes him vulnerable to the Poltergust 3000, allowing Luigi to suck him up. If Luigi fails to capture him, Biff returns to weightlifting and Luigi must hit him with another punching bag to resume capturing him. After Biff is captured, the Rec Room lights up, and a green treasure chest appears which contains money.
