The Zap Orb is an orb item in Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7, containing an Amp. In Mario Party 6, players can place it on a space to serve as a roadblock. It costs fifteen coins at the Orb Shop. Opponents that pass through a space containing the orb, get shocked by the Amp, losing five coins, and an additionally five coins for every remaining space they pass through on their turn. In Mario Party 7, it serves the same exact purpose, but opponents only lose three coins per space, instead of five. It costs fifteen coins at the Orb Shop. In both games, if a player passes by another Zap Orb while one is already in effect, the Zap Orbs stack up.
