Can I delete everything here in the sandbox (except the top)? I mean it's getting really full of spam and stuff. Paper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)
Let's do this: Have instances of all Wiki format (categories, bold, headlines, pic formats, etc.) and keep it defualted like that. After about 12 hours, all content but the original will be deleted. This way, users who, for instance, want to frame a pic, can come here, look at the coding, then duplicate it on a page they're working on. The Sandbox helped me as a new user, and it can be a resource for people who want to learn, but don't get the tutorial. How'zabout I look after the Sandbox and delete any spam that comes along? 3D
Well? Porplemontage? Wayoshi? ANYONE?! Is it just me, or is this thread outdated? 3D
Good idea 3D. I like it. I'll let Wayoshi figure out how to do it, though.HK
I've started adding instances of ordinary Wikisyntax. 3D, yeah, it's dead.
HEY! We should always have examples of syntax here. 3D, bla blah blah..

If you press edit on the Sandbox do you get in trouble if u delete the 1 that's already there King Mario Please don't protect the template. Some users (like me) may not know what part is the template and this place is for new users.--Dummmmmmy 10:50, 8 September 2007 (EDT)
- Template? Protection? {{sandbox}} will always stay protected, there's no need to edit it. The page here is for editing and it's perfectly unprotected. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:53, 8 September 2007 (EDT)
When will the sandbox next be cleaned? Jdrowlands (talk) 02:32, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
Are we aloud to YouTube videos in the sanbox to see if they work -Nerdy Guy
Why is this called the SandBox? User:Dry Paratroopa/sig
- Because we felt like naming it that. uper-YoshiDoes it really matter? :o.
- Sandbox is a common name for web editing playgrounds created for testing anything a user needs. It's right here. GG445 "...?"
Oops!
I added this page to the category of blocked users by accident by adding a block template! Silly mistake!Mr Man 15:52, 24 November 2011 (EST)

Template & Article Question
What's a Template, and how do I add an article? ~ VanillaFrostCone
Use {{ }} around templates. The list of available templates is here. To create an article, type the name of the article you want to create in the search bar. The results won't show up, but there's an option to create an article on the search's name. Use that option, and you're set. Just remember to read the guidelines at tep when creating the article. Archive
Hey, I dunno why I'm writing this here, but I thought someone could help me. Does anyone know how to "archive" a talk page like User talk pages? I want to know, just in case. ☆Jim724☆
- Please put things like this on the FAQ talk instead. Anyway, you archive talk pages by moving them. Move your talk page to "User talk:Jimmy724/Archive 1" and then get rid of the resulting redirect. Master R.O.B.
sooooooo
is this to practice editing and stuff? well, i have mastered it on bulbapedia. also, i found a glitch and a trick on Super paper mario. the glitch is when bowser is standing on a treasure chest and shrinks, the shrinking will be canceled. it can also happen on certain places. the TRICK is crouch-jumping, where you can crouch and jump at the same time. Valehd (talk) 16:34, 2 February 2015 (EST)
- Yes it is, :) ~~ Boo4761
- good! also another trick: you can throw those spiky rolling guys in 1-4 by standing on the "wall" next to them and using throeu and then the one you picked up will sink into the sand 96.245.164.78 20:40, 4 February 2015 (EST)
What is it actually ?
Hi, What is it this sandbox ? --Captain Yoshi File:YoshiYellow-MK8.png 06:45, 19 July 2015 (EDT)
- The Sandbox (MarioWiki:Sandbox) is a Wiki namespace page designed for testing and experimenting with Wiki syntax. Feel free to try your skills at formatting here: click on edit, make your changes, and click 'Save page' when you are finished. Content added here will not stay permanently. Feel free to remove any content (except for the first line, as specified below) when you think this page gets too crammed. This is not a page to chat.
It says on the main sandbox page.

So
if I save this page after I've edited it what will happen? Captain Toad 19:08, 28 January 2016 (EST)
- It'll remain there for a while (like, several days), but if someone cleans it off, you can always restore what you wrote by getting the data in its history. In paper, it should be emptied only once the page looks too cluttered. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:18, 28 January 2016 (EST)
gifs
I hope you're not about to get these gifs deleted.-- 23:59, 29 January 2017 (EST)
- That matter was settled and I abide by proposal outcomes. I'm targeting static GIFs. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 00:02, 30 January 2017 (EST)
The header
I think an edit filter that automatically blocks users who try to remove the header would be appreciated. 83.28.60.106 16:45, 9 July 2017 (EDT)
