Template:Infobox Mario Party: Star Rush is an upcoming game in the Mario Party series. It is scheduled for release on October 7, 2016 for Europe, October 8 for Australia and New Zealand, October 20 for Japan, and November 4 for North America. It will be the second Mario Party game for the Nintendo 3DS after Mario Party: Island Tour and the fourteenth game overall. The game is confirmed to be compatible with amiibo.[1]

Play modes

Although many other modes are confirmed to appear[2], the currently confirmed game modes so far are:

  • Toad Scramble (1-4 players) - Each player starts as one of four colored Toads and moves across a nonlinear game board simultaneously, recruiting ally characters, playing minigames, and fighting bosses.[1]
  • Coinathlon (1-4 players) - Players must collect as many coins as they can in 60-second minigames to progress. Items available.[3]
  • Mario Shuffle [4]- A game mode that makes use of amiibo.
  • Balloon Bash - Players must collect coins on a mini board with 20 turns and minigames after each round.[3]
  • Rhythm Recital - Players can play classic Mario tunes using the touchscreen. Each character has their own instrument.[3]
  • Challenge Tower [5]
  • Boo's Block Attack - A puzzle game that involves spinning sides of a number block to earn points. Points are earned with 3 or more sets of numbers matches. [6]
  • Character Museum - Allows players to view characters collected in the game. amiibo options are also found here.[3]
