- Paper Mario: Sticker Star (pictured) is the only installment in the Paper Mario series not to be playable on the Wii, as Paper Mario can be played on the Virtual Console, its sequel is playable due to GameCube backwards compatibility, and Super Paper Mario is a Wii game.
- In Sky Station Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2, the sign that tells Mario to go around the back in the "Peewee Piranha's Speed Run" mission on the Yoshi House Planet refers to Yoshi as a "space dragon".
- A Donkey Kong game was reportedly in development for the Philips CD-i.
- Alexey Pajitnov, creator of Tetris, also designed the puzzles in the SNES version of Yoshi's Cookie.
- Charles Martinet the voice actor of Mario's first voice over work for Nintendo was in Super Punch-Out!!.He voiced the announcer,boxers and the referee in the game.
