There are a few Sphinx Simulators that appear in Wario: Master of Disguise in the Smithsnorian Museum. When Wario finds one, there will be an unplugged cord moving up and down-Sparky Wario must use his spark attack to plug it. The Sphinx Simulator will ask Wario a riddle. The exhibits in the museum are a clue to the answer.
There are two simulators that actually work in the museum (the others don't seem to work), and in both Wario needs to answer the question. Getting the answer wrong, will make him fall down a few floors down, and getting it right will open a passage. Wario meets the Simulators in his adventure to get Sphinx's treasures.
