Switchback Platforms are special platforms introduced in New Super Mario Bros. U. Depending on where the arrow in the center points, these platforms will constantly move left or right when the player steps on them. They appear in Switchback Hill as the main gimmick and mode of transportation. Items like Star Coins and coins are able to trigger the platform like a player would. Template:BoxTop
