WarioWare: Twisted!

"Turning Made in Wario") in Japan, is the third game in the WarioWare series. It is one of only a few Game Boy Advance games to use a motion sensor, another being Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. It also one of the only two Game Boy Advance games to use a Rumble Feature, the other being Drill Dozer. The gameplay often involves moving the Game Boy Advance rather than actually pressing the buttons. This can cause a wide variety of wacky mini-games, including ones where the player must make Wario move forward by twisting the Game Boy in the direction that he needs to go. Though it was announced for release there, the game was not released in Europe.

Story

One day, Wario was playing his Game Boy Advance. His character dies and, in his anger, Wario throws the handheld system at the wall, breaking it. Horrified, he quickly takes it to his friend Dr. Crygor and asks if he can fix it. Dr. Crygor pops it in to a newly invented machine, the Gravitator, and creates a new system that resembles a Game Boy Advance. Wario learns that he must tilt the game in a certain direction to make the character move. Shortly after he discovers how to control the new system, Mona and 9-Volt walk in and try out the new system for themselves. They love it, and this gives Wario an idea. He can market this new item and sell it to make millions, and so the game begins.

Microgame Stages

Microgame stages are a collection of microgames. Here is a list of microgame stages.

Mona	Mini Tilt	"I'm Mona here. My job is to just cheer for Ms Salonee. I hope she will rock the country!" This stage has 12 microgames plus one boss stage. Reach 50 points to unlock Jimmy T and Kat and Ana.
Jimmy T.	Big Dipper	"You again?! I have appeared in many WarioWare games, and now my job is to help Ms Lena! Good luck in helping her win." This stage has 14 microgames plus one boss stage. Reach 50 points to win.
Kat and Ana	Slice It!	"I love Tia Anasha the most! She rocks out and now I'm going to cheer for her! Good luck!" This stage also has 14 microgames plus one boss stage, but you must reach 75 points and then you will be able to play Jimmy's Folks stage. This game has no twisting and is the only stage that you just use the A Button.
Jimmy's Folks	Family Scramble	"Hey there! My friend, Ms Sarah is trembling at the obstacle course full of ropes! Help her overcome her fear!" This stage is like Jimmy T's but there will be one extra game. You will now end up with 15 microgames plus one boss stage. You need to score over 100 points in this series. The games also start on second level and mixes it up from Mona, Jimmy himself, and Kat and Ana, so you must take action immediately. Complete 100 points to give her a surprise and unlock Dribble and Spitz as well as Dr. Crygor.
Dribble and Spitz	Steer Clear II	"I have no choice but to help Ms Chong rock the contest! I'll be fixing the car while we wait for the results." This stage has 14 microgames and the boss stage. You must tilt the device as well as pressing the A Button to reach 100 points and win.
Dr. Crygor	Gravitatior II	"Ms Belinda?! Well, I am here to help her rock this city! I'm going to help her so show me!" This game has 14 gravity-functioned games and one boss stage. Using the gravitational force of the Game Boy Advance, the person must score over 100 points to win.
WarioWatch (1)	Speed Spin	"You again! But this time I will watch how Makhaya and Hui Ping rope dance! And you, don't run out of time!" This one has a strict time limit, and you will also remix Wario's games. Starting with 20 seconds, you get more time for winning and waste time for losing. You must get 125 points to unlock the second Wariowatch. As you go further the two ropes will swing even more, so watch closely on his microgames. You will play 18 microgames and the boss stage. You will also unlock Orbulon.
Orbulon	Time Travel	"Hey you! Do I have to see you and Ms Gen?!?! All you have to do is complete these double-timed microgames!" All controls will be used. This game consists of 14 microgames, but the microgames before the BOSS STAGE will take double the time to complete. The Boss Stage will be played after 14 microgames. Scoring 125 points in this double-time matter will unlock 9-Volt and 18-Volt and Wario-Man.age
9-Volt and 18-Volt	Spintendo Megamix	"We are gaming experts. We control and help Ms Kaushi and Ms Angeline. And you?" The 14 microgames before the boss stage are Nintendo based games. The 15th is a Nintendo based boss stage. Get 150 points to win and progress to Wario-Man. That is equal to 10 boss stages!
Wario-Man	Spandex Challenge II	"Joanna and Adela are doing silk dancing. And I am helping them out. So, can you withstand the power?" The final stage has a mere and lung busting 21 microgames plus the boss stage. It will take all the controls you have learnt. Get 200 points and you'll complete the Story Mode!
WarioWatch (2)	Speedier Spin	Essentially the same as the first WarioWatch stage, but with less time to complete the microgames. The microgames can appear at any level, mostly third level, and the boss game don't appear.
Skyscraper	Skyscraper Sampler	Microgames from all characters are mixed here (except WarioWatch's ones), except boss games, meaning that extra lives can't be earned. The speed increases gradually and without advision. Every time the player completes 20 microgames, he/she will obtain a souvenir, and the level increase, but after the third level, it keeps at a high speed until the player loses. Scoring 25 points or more will unlock the Tower stage.
Tower	Twitchy Tower	Essentially the same as the Skyscraper stage (all microgames mixed (except WarioWatch's ones) without boss stages, so extra lives can't be earned), but the microgames are at a high speed, and it also increases gradually (without advision) until it keeps at a maximum speed, almost the highest speed of the game. The microgames are always at first level, though. Scoring 25 points or more will unlock the Mansion stage, and every time the player completes 20 microgames, he/she will obtain a souvenir.
Mansion	One Chance Mansion	Essentially the same as the Skyscraper stage, but only one life is available and the player can't earn extra lives due to the absence of boss stages, meaning that if the player loses in a microgame, it's game over. The speed is normal and never increase, but the microgames are all at third level. Every time the player completes 10 microgames, he/she will obtain a souvenir.

Fronk's microgames appear randomly through the other stages. Fronk does not have his own stage.

European Release

In 2005, when the game was released in Australia and America, Nintendo announced the game for release in Europe. They later announced that the game's release was delayed because it was still undergoing compulsory LGA testing to ensure it was safe. Three years later, in 2008, the Game Boy Advance was discontinued. People then found out that the page for the game on the Nintendo Europe Website had been removed and in the European version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, when it is mentioned on the Chronicle, the game is marked as "Not Released". This indicates that the game was cancelled in Europe. It is likely that the game failed its safety testing. It did receive good reception, so it would have been released in Europe had it not failed.

Trivia

• The box art of the game shows Wario holding a Game Boy Advance SP, but in the game they never use an SP. Instead they use the original Game Boy Advance.
• In the Guinness World Record 2010 Gamer's Edition, WarioWare: Twisted was the game with the most minigames in a single video game. The game had 223 minigames all in one.
