Purple bats hang from the ceiling, and when Luigi walks by, it swoops down to attack him. If one hits Luigi, Luigi will be slightly damaged by five HP and the ghost would disappear in a puff of smoke. If the strike is unsuccessful, the Bat would return to the ceiling and prepare for the next attack.
